We are seeking a Paralegal with a focus on litigation law to join our team. This role involves working across multiple sites in Trowbridge and provides an excellent opportunity for professional development in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation, a law degree and a strong desire to further develop their legal skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist the legal team in all stages of litigation processes from the initiation of a case to the discovery period through trial and post-trial findings and appeals.
\n
• Research relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to help determine the specifics of a case.
\n
• Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
\n
• Prepare for trials by organising exhibits and assisting during court proceedings.
\n
• Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts and mortgages.
\n
• Obtain affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court.
\n
• Support lawyers during trials by managing exhibits, filing briefs, and facilitating communication with all parties involved.
\n
• Schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions by coordinating with clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Experience in a legal support role, ideally within litigation.
\n
• Law degree
\n
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles related to litigation law.
\n
• Excellent research, analytical, and organisational skills.
\n
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
\n
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
\n
