\n Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Inverness to recruit a temporary HR & Recruitment Assistant for an initial 8-10 week assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR or Recruitment professional to join a busy and supportive HR team and provide vital recruitment support during a period of increased hiring activity. This role is based in their Inverness offices and will be across Monday to Friday.
Your new role
\n Working as part of the HR function, the primary focus of this role will be supporting end-to-end recruitment activity across a range of vacancies. You will be responsible for managing candidate applications, undertaking longlisting and shortlisting activities, arranging both in-person and Microsoft Teams interviews, and ensuring recruitment processes are delivered in a timely and professional manner. You will collate interview notes, maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), prepare offer documentation and liaise with internal colleagues to facilitate a smooth recruitment process.
\n In addition to recruitment responsibilities, you will provide general HR administrative support, maintaining employee records, updating HR systems and assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the wider HR team. A key aspect of the position will be working with overseas candidates, ensuring visa and right-to-work information is accurately recorded and managed in line with current UK regulations and organisational procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
\n To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within a recruitment or HR environment, ideally with exposure to high-volume recruitment activity. You will possess a strong understanding of UKVI requirements and visa restrictions relating to overseas candidates and have a meticulous approach to record keeping and compliance. You will be well-organised, able to manage multiple priorities and comfortable working with recruitment and HR systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with candidates and stakeholders are essential.
