Senior FP&A Analyst

Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation in Plymouth to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst.

This is a key commercial finance position offering significant exposure to senior leadership across the business. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, challenging operational performance, and supporting strategic initiatives that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Working across multiple business functions, you'll act as a trusted finance partner, helping decision-makers understand financial performance and identify opportunities to improve results.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational and commercial leaders to provide financial insight and performance challenge.
\n
• Deliver profitability analysis across products, customers, and business units.
\n
• Support strategic projects through detailed financial evaluation and investment appraisal.
\n
• Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to improve business visibility and decision-making.
\n
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through the analysis of financial and operational data.
\n
• Provide commercial support for pricing, margin improvement, and cost optimisation initiatives.
\n
• Contribute to the enhancement of reporting tools, data quality, and analytical capabilities.
\n
• Support senior management with scenario modelling and business case development.
\n

About You

\n
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
\n
• Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or financial analysis.
\n
• Strong data analysis and financial modelling capabilities.
\n
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
\n
• Commercially astute with a genuine interest in understanding business performance.
\n
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
\n

Desirable Experience

\n
• Manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, or other operationally focused environments.
\n
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, or similar BI and reporting tools.
\n
• Exposure to ERP systems and performance reporting automation.
\n
