Lead Aircraft Mechanic | Sheet Metal & CabinSalary: £54,000 per annumShift Pattern: 5,5,4Positions Available: 3We are recruiting for three Lead Aircraft Mechanics to join an established aviation maintenance operation.We are looking for:2 x Lead Mechanics with Sheet Metal experience1 x Lead Mechanic with Cabin experienceThis is a hands on leadership position, suited to experienced aircraft mechanics who are confident taking responsibility for maintenance activities while supporting and guiding other engineers and technicians on shift.The RoleAs a Lead Aircraft Mechanic, you will take a key role in coordinating and delivering aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality and regulatory standards.You will be expected to lead by example on the hangar floor, provide technical support to the wider team and help ensure maintenance tasks are completed correctly and within required timescales.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support aircraft maintenance activities on shiftCarry out hands on maintenance, inspection, repair and modification workProvide technical guidance and support to mechanics and techniciansAllocate and coordinate maintenance tasks where requiredEnsure work is completed in accordance with approved maintenance data and company proceduresSupport fault finding, defect rectification and troubleshootingMonitor the quality and progress of maintenance activitiesEnsure accurate completion of maintenance records and documentationPromote a strong safety and compliance culture across the teamLiaise with engineering, production and management teams as requiredSheet Metal Lead MechanicsFor the two Sheet Metal positions, candidates should have substantial aircraft structural maintenance experience, including:Aircraft structural repair and modificationSheet metal fabricationDrilling, riveting and fasteningStructural inspections and rectificationWorking from aircraft drawings and approved technical dataPrevious experience leading or mentoring other mechanics is highly desirableCabin Lead MechanicFor the Cabin position, candidates should have strong hands on aircraft cabin maintenance experience, including areas such as:Aircraft cabin maintenance and repairSeats, panels, galleys and lavatoriesCabin interiors and componentsCabin modifications and refurbishmentDefect rectification and troubleshootingPrevious experience leading or mentoring other mechanics is highly desirableWhat We're Looking ForStrong aircraft maintenance backgroundRelevant experience within either aircraft structures/sheet metal or cabin maintenancePrevious lead, senior mechanic or team leadership experienceStrong practical and technical abilityAbility to coordinate and support a maintenance teamGood understanding of aviation safety, quality and compliance requirementsStrong communication and organisational skillsWillingness to work the required shift patternTPBN1_UKTJ
