Location: Danbury, Essex CM3
\nJob Type: Permanent, Full-Time
\nSalary: £16 - £18 per week, depending on experience
\nHours: MondayFriday, 40hr week
The Role\nWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join an established engineering and sheet-metal manufacturing business based in Danbury, Essex.
\nThis is a permanent opportunity for someone with previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery within a sheet-metal fabrication or engineering environment.
\nYou will be responsible for producing accurate, high-quality components from engineering drawings while maintaining excellent standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n

Operating CNC press brake machinery to bend and form sheet-metal components
\n - \n
Setting and operating machinery to produce components to specification
\n - \n
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
\n - \n
Selecting and changing tooling where required
\n - \n
Adjusting machine settings to achieve accurate bends and dimensions
\n - \n
Carrying out first-off and in-process quality checks
\n - \n
Working with materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
\n - \n
Checking finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
\n - \n
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
\n - \n
Working to production schedules and maintaining quality standards
\n
The successful candidate will have:

- \n
Previous experience as a Press Brake Operator, Press Brake Setter/Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator, CNC Folder Operator or similar
\n - \n
Experience working within a sheet-metal, fabrication or engineering environment
\n - \n
The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
\n - \n
Experience operating CNC press brake machinery
\n - \n
Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
\n - \n
The ability to work independently and as part of a production team
\n - \n
A reliable and positive approach to work
\n
Setter experience would be advantageous but is not essential if you have strong Press Brake operating experience.
