Design Manager

Morson Edge are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit an experienced Design Manager to join their Design & Advanced Technology team, delivering high-profile water infrastructure projects across the UK.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping major infrastructure programmes, leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering innovative solutions across the full project lifecycle.The Role:You will be responsible for leading and coordinating design delivery across complex water sector projects, ensuring high-quality technical outputs while managing programme, cost, and stakeholder expectations.Working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will support both project delivery and bid activity, contributing to major UK infrastructure schemes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams across design deliveryOversee and review technical deliverables including reports, drawings, and calculationsEnsure outputs align with project scope, programme, budget, and quality standardsDrive technical input across complex design packages and project stagesWork closely with clients, contractors, and internal teamsSupport bid proposals and contribute to winning new workMentor and support junior engineers within the teamEnsure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and CDM regulationsAbout You:Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) preferredStrong experience managing design delivery within a consultancy environmentProven background in the water sector (essential)Good understanding of design standards, NEC contracts, and regulatory requirementsExperience working within multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projectsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProactive, collaborative, and able to work with minimal supervisionWhat's on Offer:£50 – £67 per hour (Inside IR35)12-month contract with strong likelihood of extensionHybrid working (typically 3 days office/site)Locations: Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge (flexible)Opportunity to work on major UK and international infrastructure projectsLong-term project pipeline within a leading consultancyApply NowIf you're an experienced Design Manager looking to make a real impact on high-profile infrastructure projects, apply today through this advert.TPBN1_UKTJ
