Job Description
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure services provider within the Water and Wastewater sector for a SeniorQuantity Surveyor to join their Capital Delivery team working across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
\nThis is a Hybrid position working in the South East London area.

\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple capital projects, ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
\nWorking within the Water and Wastewater Capital Delivery team, you will support the delivery of large-scale capital programmes, collaborating with operational, finance, procurement and project teams to drive commercial excellence and achieve successful project outcomes.

\nResponsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
\nProduce accurate contract-compliant valuations and applications for payment
\nMonitor certifications, payments and cash receipts to ensure effective cash flow management
\nAdminister NEC contracts and manage contractual notices, communications and correspondence
\nReview valuations and identify contractual non-compliance, disputes and commercial risks
\nSupport and mentor junior commercial team members to maintain high standards of delivery
\nManage project costs and financial performance, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting
Validate financial data and maintain accurate accruals across allocated projects
\nSupport margin improvement initiatives through proactive commercial management
\nAdminister subcontractor accounts, including procurement, payment and performance monitoring
\nWork closely with operational teams and supply chain partners to support successful project delivery
\nAssist with cost planning, budgeting and change management activities
\nContribute to risk and opportunity reviews, identifying actions to maximise commercial performance
\nProduce cash flow forecasts, cost/value reconciliations and revenue projections
\nPrepare and present regular Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports
\nMaintain accurate commercial records, registers and supporting documentation
\nMonitor KPI and SLA performance and provide commercial insight into project trends and performance
\nEnsure all reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with company procedures and client requirements
\nRequired Skills and Experience of the SeniorQuantity Surveyor:
\nExperience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction, utilities or infrastructure sector
\nStrong knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
\nGood commercial awareness with a strong understanding of cost management principles
\nStrong numerical, analytical and financial management skills
\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management systems
\nExperience in subcontract administration and supply chain management
\nAbility to identify, assess and escalate commercial risks and issues effectively
\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills
\nAbility to work collaboratively with operational, finance, procurement and project teams
\nDegree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant experience
\nFull UK Driving Licence
\nDesirable Experience:
\nExperience working within the water, wastewater, utilities or infrastructure sectors
\nProfessional membership of RICS, CICES or working towards chartered status
\nExperience supporting large-scale capital project delivery programmes
\nKnowledge of commercial reporting, CVR processes and forecasting methodologies
\nUnderstanding of risk and opportunity management within NEC contract environments
\nExperience working within highly regulated industries
