Engaging with their clients and using their wealth of employee experience and expertise to deliver a first-class product every time.About The Role:Reporting to the Finance Manager you will manage and maintain an efficient Purchase Ledger function under the supervision of the relevant heads of that department as well as providing general administrative support to the wider business.Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase LedgerAssisting with keeping an orderly purchase ledgerAnswering accounts queries via telephone and emailDrawing up payment run schedules for approvalMaking emergency payments i.e. proformas/credit cards once approvedMatching Invoices to POsSetting up new suppliersSending invoices out for approvalControlling the speed in which invoices are turned around (7 days standard)Posting payments onto banking system and update cash flowPosting the banks to Cash Book each morning and processing the Bank ReconciliationsManaging credit card & staff expensesOther purchase ledger dutiesReconciling StatementsManaging a dedicated purchase ledger email inboxAdministrationA variety of administration duties to support the business including but not limited to:Taking external and internal telephone callsScanning, filing and laminatingManaging mailSkills & KnowledgeProven experience of high-volume invoice and data processingAbility to collate data and format reports as requiredCompetent in both Excel and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and relationship building skills.Excellent IT skills with knowledge of ERP systems (Sage, Oracle, SAP etc.)Good numeracy and analytical skills.Qualifications5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above (including English and Maths).Intermediate AAT is desirableIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.The employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
