Mechanical Technician – Power StationExcellent salary + bonus + benefitsExeter, South WestSCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team of an energy from waste power station in Exeter.This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure plant machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standard.The role will involve:Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance activitiesDiagnosing faults and completing repairs to ensure plant machinery and equipment are maintained to a high standardSupporting plant reliability and availability through effective maintenance practices and continuous improvementWorking safely within Permit to Work and Safe Systems of Work procedures, including plant isolationsContributing to the delivery of maintenance plans, work orders and performance targets, with accurate updates in the CMMSSupporting shutdowns, outages and improvement projects as requiredAssisting with scopes of work and engineering specifications for external contractors where requiredPromoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, environmental requirements and site proceduresWorking collaboratively with operations, engineering teams, contractors and equipment vendorsTo be considered for this role, you should have:A recognised mechanical engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), supported by a completed apprenticeshipExperience carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance in a heavy industrial, process or power generation environmentA proven track record of delivering maintenance work safely, efficiently and within environmental and operational requirementsStrong knowledge of mechanical repair methods, machinery and equipment used within heavy industrial or process plant environmentsExperience working within Permit to Work, Safe Systems of Work and plant isolation proceduresFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programmes, maintenance planning and CMMS systemsSome experience creating scopes of work or engineering specifications for externally contracted workA strong practical understanding of Health & Safety legislation in an industrial settingWhat's on offer:£49,100 basic salaryOvertimeAnnual bonus opportunityMedical coverCompany pensionMonday to Friday working patternOngoing training and developmentFor further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on 07441 955 901 orTPBN1_UKTJ
