Position: Deputy Catering Manager
\nLocation: LVS Ascot London Road Ascot SL5 8DR
\nSalary: up to £40,000, with excellent Sodexo and Parking benefits
\nTotal Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week
\nDays/Shift Pattern: 5days over 7days, 7am - 3.30pm / 10.00am - 6.30pm

\nWe’re looking for a Deputy Catering Manager who is passionate about great food, exceptional service, and leading people. \nWhat you will do
\n- \n
- Train; create awareness and safety measures to reduce the rate of accidents. \n
- Develop; self and others to maximize optimum efficiency. \n
- Food Standards: Be present, observe and implement required Standards to client’s satisfaction. \n
- Effectively communicate with both front and back of house to enhance food and service standards. \n
- Take full responsibility for Health and Safety, Risk assessments, HACCP and Staff training. \n
- Manage Payroll systems, ensuring justification for ad hoc services. \n
- Carry out Administration duties in preparation of closing books. Entering invoices, stocks, stock takes, recording sales on EprophIT. \n
- Ensure all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customer’s special dietary requirements. \n
- Accepting full responsibility for the service and to be responsible for all Hospitality related activities, production service and clear down. \n
- Deputise in the Catering Managers absence (covering sickness and holidays). \n
What you bring

- Proven experience in a management role within the Catering industry. \n
- Adaptable, flexible, and resilient, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure. \n
- Strong people management skills, including recruitment, training, performance management, and handling disciplinary and grievance processes. \n
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to work independently. \n
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). \n
- High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining standards. \n
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop opportunities, and implement innovative solutions \n
- Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria. \n
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff. \n
- Good time management and organisation skills. \n
- Good Standards of literacy and numeracy. \n
