HGV class 2 - Multi drop DriverSalary: £43,290 per yearHourly Rate: £18-£19 per hourHours: 06:45 - 17:45Job Type: Full-TimeLocation: London & surrounding areasWorking Pattern: Monday to FridayThe RoleWe are looking for a reliable and professional 18T Multi-Drop HGV Driver to join a busy delivery operation.You will be responsible for safely and efficiently completing multiple deliveries each day across London and surrounding areas. The role primarily involves driving an 18-tonne HGV, although you may also be required to operate other vehicles, including 3.5-tonne vans, where you hold the appropriate licence and are authorised to do so.This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high driving standards and working safely.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate an 18-tonne HGV and other authorised company vehicles.Complete multiple local deliveries across London and surrounding areas.Follow daily delivery schedules, routes and manifests.Ensure goods are transported and delivered safely and carefully.Check deliveries against paperwork or electronic delivery information.Obtain proof of delivery where required.Report delays, failed deliveries, shortages, damages or other issues promptly.Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.Complete daily vehicle and safety checks before driving.Report vehicle defects, damage, accidents or safety concerns immediately.Comply with road traffic legislation, drivers' hours, working time and tachograph requirements.Correctly operate tachograph equipment and maintain required records.Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.Ensure loads are secure and appropriately distributed.Handle boxes, cartons, sacks and other goods safely.Support warehouse and depot operations during quieter driving periods.Follow all health & safety, manual-handling and food-hygiene procedures.Maintain good attendance, punctuality and communication.RequirementsEssentialFull UK driving licence with Category C entitlement .Valid Driver CPC where legally required.Valid Digital Tachograph Card where required.Previous HGV driving experience.Experience in multi-drop delivery work or the ability to work effectively in a multi-drop environment.Good understanding of road safety and transport compliance.Good communication and customer-service skills.Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.Physically capable of loading, unloading and moving stock.DesirablePrevious experience in food distribution, wholesale or a similar delivery environment.Good geographical knowledge of London and surrounding areas.Experience completing multiple local deliveries to demanding schedules.What We Offer£18-£19 per hour£43,290 annual salaryFull-time, permanent employmentMonday to Friday working pattern06:45 - 17:45 working hoursHoliday entitlementWorkplace pensionTraining and development opportunitiesOngoing driver and transport compliance trainingImportant InformationAlthough this is an 18T Multi-Drop Driver position, drivers may be required to operate different vehicles depending on operational requirements.
