Job Description

Executive Assistant to Partners – Venture Capital | Ref: 22922

\n

c. £70,000 + bonus + excellent benefits

\n

Hybrid: Monday–Wednesday office | Thursday–Friday remote

\n

\n

Are you a quick-thinking, commercially minded EA with several years’ experience and a genuine interest in venture capital?

\n

\n

Are you bright, curious and energised by working in an ambitious, intellectually stimulating environment? Do you have the confidence and judgement to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders while staying calm and organised when priorities change at pace?

\n

\n

An innovative and highly respected Venture Capital firm is looking for an exceptional EA to support four Partners and play a pivotal role across its close-knit team of 18.

\n

\n

This is much more than a traditional EA position. Combining senior-level executive support with office management, operations and culture, you’ll be at the heart of the firm and central to how things get done.

\n

\n

You’ll work from fantastic, state-of-the-art offices alongside a team of bright, curious and high-achieving people. The culture is inclusive, vibrant and collaborative, and your judgement, initiative and ideas will be genuinely valued. There’s also plenty of opportunity to put your interest in technology and AI to practical use.

\n

\n

This is a high-trust, high-impact role for someone who loves variety, takes ownership and naturally spots what needs to happen next.

\n

\n

What you’ll be doing:

\n

\n
    \n
  • Acting as the organisational lynchpin for four Partners, anticipating needs and keeping multiple priorities moving
  • \n
  • Triaging and drafting directly from Partners’ inboxes, resolving matters independently wherever possible and proactively finding answers when needed
  • \n
  • Managing four complex, fast-moving international diaries, coordinating global travel and meetings, protecting focus time and using sound judgement to balance competing demands
  • \n
  • Preparing board packs and coordinating Investment Committee and board meetings, including scheduling, signatories, actions and follow-ups
  • \n
  • Supporting fundraising activity and working closely with the Investor Relations team
  • \n
  • Building strong relationships with investors, portfolio companies and other external stakeholders
  • \n
  • Becoming the go-to person across the firm for knowing how things work and making sure they happen
  • \n
  • Onboarding new team members, coordinating review cycles and managing relationships with vendors and visitors
  • \n
  • Taking ownership of the smooth day-to-day running of the office, from suppliers and facilities to those all-important details that make it a great place to work
  • \n
  • Researching and preparing briefing materials ahead of meetings
  • \n
  • Organising internal events, team activities and corporate hospitality
  • \n
  • Taking the lead on culture and social initiatives across the firm
  • \n
  • Providing personal administrative support to the Partners when required
  • \n
  • And, occasionally, making sure the plants stay alive!
  • \n
\n

\n

What you’ll bring:

\n

\n
    \n
  • Strong EA experience gained within financial services, ideally supporting senior professionals in a fast-paced environment
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several demanding priorities simultaneously
  • \n
  • Strong judgement, discretion and confidence working in a high-trust environment
  • \n
  • A genuine interest in venture capital, technology and AI, with a good understanding of how technology can improve the way people work
  • \n
  • An analytical, curious and commercially minded approach
  • \n
  • A natural problem-solving mentality – you’re someone who finds solutions rather than simply identifying problems
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • \n
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across a small team
  • \n
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and a willingness to take ownership
  • \n
  • A genuine desire to understand the business and continue developing your knowledge and skills
  • \n
  • Enthusiasm for joining a dynamic, ambitious and growing firm
  • \n
  • A true “no job too big or too small” attitude
  • \n
\n

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished EA who wants to be more than a support function. You’ll be a trusted partner to the leadership team, a central figure within the firm and someone whose contribution has a real impact on the business.
