People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Swindon.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for adhoc or weekend work.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

  •  ADHOC and weekends available
\n   •  AM starts between 04:00 – 08:00

Pay rate: £16.66 per hour

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:

  •  Excellent hourly rates
\n   •  Ongoing work

\n   •  Immediate starts available

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Use of RELAY app
\n   •  Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
\n   •  Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
\n   •  Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
\n   •  Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
\n   •  Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
\n   •  Assisting with loading and unloading when required

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  •  Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
\n   •  Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles
\n   •  No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
\n   •  Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n   •  Good spoken and written English
\n   •  Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
\n   •  Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
\n   •  Effective communication skills

  •  Previous experience driving commercial vehicles

  •  Driver assessment required prior to starting
\n   •  One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
\n   •  Ongoing industry-related training and support
