Quality Inspector – Aerospace Engineering Hayes, West London Up to £55,000 per annum + Overtime Days | 39 Hours Per Week | Early Friday Finish An established and growing precision engineering company in Hayes is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join its inspection team on a permanent basis. The company operates a busy subcontract machining facility producing precision components for demanding industries including Aerospace, MOD and Commercial Engineering. With continued investment, a strong order book and further growth planned, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector looking for a secure, long-term position within a well-established engineering business. As an Aersoapce Quality Inspector you will be responsible for: %CF; You'll be responsible for inspecting precision machined components throughout the manufacturing process, working closely with the machining and production teams to ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements. %CF; The position will involve a combination of manual dimensional inspection and CMM inspection, with access to a well-equipped inspection department. %CF; First-off, in-process and final inspection of precision machined components %CF; Dimensional inspection using verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other conventional measuring equipment %CF; Setting and operating CMM inspection equipment %CF; Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings %CF; Checking components against tight tolerances and customer specifications %CF; Recording inspection results and maintaining relevant quality documentation What We're Looking For in the succesful Aerospace Quality Inspector: We're looking for somebody with a strong background in Quality Inspection within a precision engineering or CNC machining environment. You don't need to tick every box. A strong precision engineering inspector with excellent conventional inspection skills and the right technical background will still be considered, particularly if you're looking to further develop your CMM experience. Ideally, as a the succesful aerospace Quality Inspector you'll have: %CF; Previous experience inspecting CNC machined or precision engineered components %CF; Strong dimensional inspection skills %CF; Confidence working from technical engineering drawings %CF; Good understanding of tolerances and precision measurement %CF; Experience using conventional inspection equipment %CF; CMM experience would be highly advantageous %CF; Ability to set and operate CMM equipment would be particularly beneficial %CF; CMM programming experience would be a strong advantage %CF; Experience within Aerospace, Defence/MOD or another high-precision industry would be beneficial %CF; Knowledge of GD&T and First Article Inspection would also be advantageous What's On Offer? %CF; Competitive salary up to £55,000, depending on experience %CF; 39-hour working week %CF; Permanent day shift %CF; Early finish every Friday %CF; Overtime available %CF; Varied precision engineering work %CF; Well-maintained machinery and inspection equipment %CF; Long-term, secure position with a growing order book %CF; Training and development where required %CF; Holiday entitlement %CF; Company pension %CF; Sick pay %CF; On-site parking %CF; Friendly and supportive working environment This position would suit an experienced Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, CNC Inspector, CMM Inspector or Precision Engineer looking for a stable days-based position within a growing precision engineering business.
