Service Engineer
Job Description
Were recruiting for an established materials-handling business looking to add another engineer across theMilton Keynes / Sandy area.
\nThis could suit someone already working with forklifts, but were equally interested in engineers fromplant, agricultural machinery, powered access, HGV or similar mobile equipment backgroundswho have strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
\nThe Role
\nYoull be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment across customer sites within your territory.
\nTypical responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance \n
- Reactive breakdowns and fault diagnosis \n
- Mechanical and hydraulic repairs \n
- Electrical fault-finding \n
- Diagnosing and repairing engines and associated systems \n
- Completing service documentation \n
- Managing your own workload across customer sites \n
- Providing a professional, customer-focused service \n
What Were Looking For
\nPrevious experience within one or more of the following would be particularly relevant:
\n- \n
- Forklifts / materials handling \n
- Mobile plant \n
- Agricultural machinery \n
- Powered access \n
- HGVs \n
- Construction equipment \n
- Similar mechanical field-service environments \n
You should be comfortable fault-finding independently and have good practical knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
\nPrevious forklift experience would be advantageous but isnot essentialwhere you have transferable mobile engineering experience.
