Corporate Senior Associate, 6-7 PQE - London

A highly regarded international firm with particular strength across the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors is looking to add a 6-7 PQE Corporate Senior Associate to its London team.

The corporate practice advises an impressive mix of private equity and infrastructure funds, major corporates, investors and other market participants. The team regularly acts on significant domestic and international transactions, with a particularly strong track record in the firm's core sectors.

\n

The successful candidate can expect a broad and sophisticated corporate practice, encompassing M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, corporate finance, strategic investments and joint ventures, alongside wider corporate advisory work. There is a significant international dimension to the practice, with the team regularly working alongside colleagues across the firm's global network on complex cross-border transactions.

At 6-7 PQE, the successful candidate will be expected to play a senior role on transactions, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of matters, supervising more junior lawyers and developing strong relationships with clients. There will also be plenty of opportunity to become increasingly involved in business development and to build a profile within the firm's core sectors.

Candidates should ideally have:

• Around 6-7 years' PQE gained within the corporate practice of a well-regarded City or international firm;
\n
• Strong transactional experience, ideally encompassing M&A and/or private equity work;
\n
• The ability to run substantial elements of transactions with a high degree of autonomy;
\n
• The confidence to supervise and develop junior members of the team;
\n
• A genuine interest in developing client relationships and contributing to business development; and
\n
• A commercial, collaborative and hands-on approach.
