Job Description
Role: Production PlannerLocation: TewkesburyStatus: PermanentSalary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annumAbout the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Production Planner to join our client's growing manufacturing team. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring efficient shop floor scheduling and achieving OTIF (On Time In Full) customer delivery through effective use of our ERP/MRP systemsYou will play a key part in coordinating production activities, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment operating to ISO 13485 standards.Key Responsibilities – Production PlannerLoad work orders efficiently while maintaining customer delivery commitmentsMaintain accurate, up-to-date tracking of live works ordersProduce monthly and weekly forward loading plans across all production resources, including manual operations (deburring, inspection, packing/despatch, etc.)Monitor progress against schedules, pro-actively addressing delays and supporting machinists to meet targetsEnsure timely movement of jobs between processesRaise purchase requisitions for subcontract operations and ensure subcontract requirements are communicated to purchasingEnsure raw materials are issued correctly and in a timely mannerMaintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), including set and cycle timesMonitor stock accuracy for raw materials and finished goodsIdentify production constraints and collaborate with Shop Floor Management to resolve themTroubleshoot bottlenecks and implement process improvementsMonitor and report on KPIs and production performancePrioritise workflow to ensure monthly output aligns with budgeted sales targetsEnsure compliance with ISO 13485 quality standardsComplete ERP administration within SAGE200/PreactorLiaise with internal departments to provide data and operational supportAdhere to company Quality Control procedures and Health & Safety policiesRecommend improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiencyQualifications & Requirements – Production PlannerProven experience as a Production Planner within a fast-paced manufacturing environment ( essential )Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and qualityExperience in lean manufacturing and process optimisation ( desirable )Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience with SAGE200 or IFS systems ( desirable – training provided )Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or aboveWhat We OfferA key role within a growing and quality-driven manufacturing businessOpportunity to influence production efficiency and continuous improvementOngoing training and professional developmentSupportive team environment25 days Holiday Plus Bank HolidaysModern State of the art facilityIf you are highly organised, motivated by achieving targets, and thrive in a manufacturing setting where quality and delivery performance matter, we would love to hear from you.For more information on this role, please contact Paul Furlong on 01453 829789 or send a copy of your CV toWho We're Looking For:Candidates currently working as a manufacturing Planner, Master Scheduler or Process Engineer are ideal for this roleExplore more opportunities in your field at .Omega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
