Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist or Counselor
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Experience conducting assessments, providing direct counseling services, and collaborating in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform student assessments to determine social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Offer individual and group counseling services, promoting healthy coping strategies and academic achievement
- Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans and support services
- Consult with teachers and administrators to identify student needs and recommend effective interventions
- Participate in the development and review of IEPs and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Engage with parents and caregivers, providing updates and resources to ensure student well-being
- Maintain thorough, confidential records and ensure compliance with district and state guidelines
