Opportunity Overview

We invite you to become a part of our cardiology team, which consists of two interventional cardiologists, one non-invasive cardiologist, two electrophysiologists, and one heart failure specialist. This established clinic boasts a strong patient base and is supported by a dedicated staff of four physician assistants and two nurse practitioners.

Located just 1.5 miles from the local hospital, our clinic also offers additional hours at the nearby facility. The Altoona clinic features a comprehensive pacemaker program, ensuring a well-rounded experience for both inpatient and outpatient care. The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a call rotation of 1:5.

We are seeking candidates who are board certified or board eligible if they are recent graduates.

About the Cardiology Department

Our cardiology team includes a vascular and cardiothoracic surgeon, both integral members of our Heart & Vascular Institute. The hospital's catheterization lab has successfully treated over 3,000 patients and introduced TAVR and Watchman procedures in 2019.

We are accredited as a level 3 trauma, stroke, and chest pain center, and we also have a regional oncology, cardiology, and cardiac and vascular surgery center.

The Altoona Regional Health Services (ARHS) encompasses a large practice with over 100 physicians and more than 75 advanced practice providers, covering specialties such as cardiology, medical oncology, neurology, pulmonology, dermatology, internal medicine, family practice, urology, ENT, and plastic surgery.
