HGV Class 1 Day Drivers

Our Client is a leading global consumer goods company.
The role:
\n We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to work out of our West Thurrock Operating Canter to support freight deliveries to customers and other company sites across the UK.
\n You will be part of a team supporting a 24-hour operation over Monday to Friday with some weekend work, we are currently looking for 3 drivers to work day shifts. start times are typically 01.00-03.00
\n You will work on average 40 hours per week, typically 4 shifts of 10 hours a week beginning at midday with some flexibility required in shift start times.
You will be required to execute the following operation:
\n Shuttling between different Distribution Centres in the UK and potentially to UK ports

\n
• Equipment: skeleton or curtain side drop trailer.
\n
• Typical routine: Pick up of skeleton trailer with container, deliver to port, lift off/lift on container and deliver back to Plant.
\n

Anddelivering products to our customers within the UK

\n
• Equipment: curtain side drop trailer.
\n
• Typical routine: Driver collects loaded trailer (palletized goods) at Plant (check trailer and secure load), deliver to customer, waits until trailer unloaded and returns to plant.
\n

What we will offer you:

• We offera highly competitive compensation: £14.60/hour + £5.20/hour market premium for all hours worked + up to £4/hr for unsociable hours + overtime hourly and market premium rate.
\n

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

\n
• A current HGV Class 1 license and valid driver CPC
\n
• Class 1 HGV for a minimum of 1 year
\n
• Experience in palletized goods distribution
\n
• No more than 6 points on your driving license and no Dangerous Driving (DD) or Drink Driving (DR) endorsements.
\n
• Preferably: references from previous employers
\n
• A valid right to work in the UK
\n
