About the Role
\n We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Team Leader to support and lead staff teams across a group of solo childrens homes, each caring for one young person with complex trauma, attachment needs, and behavioural challenges. Working closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager, you will help ensure a consistent, safe, and therapeutic approach across all homes, guided by trauma-informed practice, DDP, and the PACE model.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred and trauma-informed care. \n
- Promote emotional safety, positive relationships, and consistency of care across placements. \n
- Ensure safeguarding is central to practice and that all policies and procedures are followed. \n
- Support young people with emotional regulation, behaviour support, routines, and daily living. \n
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and accurate record keeping. \n
- Provide hands-on leadership during shifts, including supporting staff during incidents or crises. \n
- Encourage reflective practice, learning, and professional development within the team. \n
- Work in partnership with social workers, therapists, education providers, and families. \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- 2 years of experience in children's residential childcare. \n
- Must have NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare. \n
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and behaviour support. \n
- Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills. \n
- Ability to support, motivate, and develop staff teams. \n
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-focused care and positive outcomes. \n
