Hours per week: 37 Monday Friday, 9:00-17:00

Summary of what the candidate must have to apply:

Experience in contract management, contract monitoring or contract administration.

\n

Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data and producing reports.

\n

Experience validating invoices, processing payments and managing financial information.

\n

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

\n

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

\n

Able to manage a varied workload and work accurately under pressure.

\n

Experience within a local authority or regulated environment is desirable.

\n

Knowledge of waste management or HWRC contracts is desirable.

\n

Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

\n

The role:

\n

Monitor waste disposal and Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) contracts.

\n

Analyse contractor performance, KPIs and payment mechanisms.

\n

Validate invoices and process contractor payments accurately.

\n

Produce reports and analyse operational and financial data.

\n

Manage contractor and stakeholder queries and resolve issues.

\n

Attend contract meetings and carry out site inspections.

\n

Maintain contract records and ensure compliance with legislation.

\n

Support procurement activities and continuous service improvements.

\n

This is a site-based role. No hybrid or remote working has been specified.

\n

Key accountabilities:

\n

Monitor contract performance against agreed standards and targets.

\n

Identify contract breaches and support corrective actions.

\n

Produce accurate reports and performance information.

\n

Analyse complex datasets and financial information.

\n

Validate contractor invoices and process payments.

\n

Maintain contract registers and associated records.

\n

Liaise with contractors, colleagues and external stakeholders.

\n

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council procedures.

\n

Support procurement and contract improvement activities.

\n

Undertake site visits and inspections where required.

\n

Requirements/key criteria:

\n

Experience in contract management or contract monitoring.

\n

Strong data analysis and reporting skills.

\n

Experience processing financial information and validating invoices.

\n

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

\n

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

\n

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

\n

Able to prioritise workloads and work independently.

\n

Experience within a local authority or regulated environment is desirable.

\n

Waste management or HWRC contract experience is desirable.

\n

Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.

\n

Willingness to undertake site inspections and travel as required.

\n
