Job Opportunity: Gynecologic Oncologist

Our organization is in search of a board-eligible or board-certified physician, fellowship-trained in gynecologic oncology, who is eager to lead and enhance a robust community-based program. This established program provides patients with access to state-of-the-art minimally invasive and radical surgical options, chemotherapy, clinical trials, as well as comprehensive care in complex benign gynecology, preinvasive and high-risk screening, survivorship, sexual health, and lifestyle-focused clinics.

We welcome candidates with experience and enthusiasm for clinical research, including clinical trials through pharmaceutical companies and cooperative groups, as well as outcomes-based research. Proficiency in advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques is highly desirable. The ideal applicant will have a keen interest in contributing to a well-established oncology program located in the northwest suburbs, joining the medical staff at our Huntley and McHenry Hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and expand the gynecologic oncology program within the community.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists.
  • Engage with interventional radiologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic and breast surgeons, general surgeons, and urologists.
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary tumor board meetings via teleconferencing across three cancer centers.
  • Contribute to clinical trials and research initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Fellowship training in gynecologic oncology.
  • Board eligibility or certification in the specialty.
  • Advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical skills preferred.
  • Interest in clinical research and trials.
Working Conditions
  • Primary clinic located in Huntley, IL.
  • Hospital privileges at NM Huntley and NM McHenry Hospitals.
  • Access to a dedicated surgical ICU with 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist support.
  • Inpatient and outpatient support from physician assistants and nurse practitioners.

  • Competitive salary range: $405,000 - $545,000.
