Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: West Des Moines, IA

Specialty: Labor & Delivery

Position Type: Travel

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Compensation: $2284 - $2752 | Shift: 3x12 Nights

Become a part of our healthcare partner's vibrant team and contribute positively to the lives of families. In your role as a Labor & Delivery nurse, you will be tasked with providing outstanding care to mothers and their infants in a nurturing and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive care throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, including vital signs and fetal heart rates.
  • Administer medications and infusions such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin.
  • Work alongside the healthcare team to create and execute personalized care plans.
  • Educate and support patients and their families during the birthing experience.
  • Float across various campuses as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting.
  • Experience in Postpartum, Mother-Baby, and Labor & Delivery care.
  • Proficient in both C-section and vaginal delivery, including triage experience.
  • Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required.
  • Active RN license in Iowa or a compact/multistate license.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross.
  • ACLS certification from AHA/American Heart Association.
  • NRP certification is necessary.
  • Must have completed at least one travel assignment within the last year.
Working Conditions:

This position involves working night shifts and may require floating to different campuses as necessary.
