Neonatology Nurse Practitioner - Hickory, NC | Level 2 NICU | 24-Hour Shift Are you a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner seeking a rewarding opportunity in a collaborative environment? Quick Facts Location: 420 North Center Street, Hickory, NC 28601 Start Date: 07/31/2026 End Date: [To be discussed] Shift: 8A-8A EST, 24-hour on-site, restricted call (no callback) Hours per week: [Based on shift] Employment Type: [Contract / Per diem / As specified] License/Certifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner license, Neonatal certification required Experience: Prior NICU or neonatal care experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $1.00/hour (for illustrative purposes, actual pay discussed upon application) Pay Package: Competitive pay packages, weekly pay via direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time per applicable laws Referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements (when applicable) 24/7 dedicated support team from VHS What You’ll Do Provide specialized neonatal care in a Level 2 NICU setting Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Monitor neonatal patients closely, responding promptly to changes Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards Ensure family-centered care and support to parents and guardians What You Need Required: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina Neonatal or NICU experience Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred: Previous employment in a Level 2 NICU Certification in neonatal care About the Assignment Join a leading healthcare provider in Hickory, NC, providing essential care in a busy Level 2 NICU.
