Position Overview and QualificationsIn the role of a Registered Nurse, you will deliver prescribed medical treatments and personal care to patients who are ill or injured. Your responsibilities will include documenting observations, assessments, and any changes in patients’ conditions; collaborating with healthcare team members to promote positive patient outcomes; providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse physical and/or behavioral issues; and ensuring compliance with qualification standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Evaluating patients’ conditions upon admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status. Carrying out procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care in patients’ medical records.
- Administering prescribed medications, monitoring patients for therapeutic responses, and taking appropriate actions in case of adverse reactions. Delivering outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests, anticipating their needs, and addressing them proactively.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up procedures, ensuring they fully understand by simplifying complex medical terminology.
Qualifications Required:
Licensure and Certifications- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact state
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Completion of an RN or LVN program leading to licensure
- Ability to read and write basic English, with the skills necessary to comprehend and relay physician’s orders
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- No prior experience required
- 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred BSN
- Relevant specialty certification or training
- Ability to read and write basic English, with the skills necessary to understand and relay physician’s orders
- Capability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance from colleagues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively to ensure quality patient care
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
