We are currently looking for a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become a part of our rehabilitation team. This adaptable position is perfect for a committed and talented therapist eager to positively impact the lives of seniors while enjoying the flexibility of PRN scheduling. Please note that on-site presence is required for service delivery.

Position Overview:
In the role of PRN Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat residents experiencing communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement customized therapy plans aimed at improving residents' quality of life and promoting their independence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on residents’ specific needs and objectives.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including compensatory strategies, exercises, and alternative communication methods.
  • Provide education to residents, families, and staff regarding communication and swallowing management techniques.
  • Work in partnership with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and effective care.
  • Track residents’ progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and document results accurately.
  • Ensure timely and precise documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement efforts and contribute to the overall success of the rehabilitation department.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Colorado.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on resident-centered care.
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis as required.
  • Familiarity with documentation and electronic medical records (EMRs).
