Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at our Proprium Pharmacy Fulfillment Center in Chesapeake, VA. \n

Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320\n

Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)\n
\n
Shift: Rotating Days shift\n
\n
Hours: 8am-5pm\n
\n
Occasional Saturdays\n
\n
\nThe Specialty Pharmacy Tech performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. \n
\n

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
  
\n
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
  
\n
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
  
\n
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
  
\n
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
  
\n
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
  
\n
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

• A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
