Position Overview

As an OB/GYN physician employed by the county and a member of the county physician's union, you will enjoy:

  • Opportunities for direct resident education through hands-on supervision and occasional didactic sessions.
  • A collaborative atmosphere within a multidisciplinary OB/GYN department, working alongside both OB/GYN and Family Medicine physicians.
  • Chances to engage in quality improvement projects and enhance your leadership abilities in a nurturing academic environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Shows a strong commitment to delivering OB/GYN care to a dynamic population, including recent immigrants facing socioeconomic challenges.
  • Possesses well-honed teaching abilities and the patience to guide new learners.
  • Has a keen interest in providing ambulatory high-risk antepartum care with Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation, as well as inpatient obstetrics.
  • Demonstrates proficient surgical skills, including laparoscopic hysterectomies, management of ectopic pregnancies, and ovarian surgeries.
  • Is comfortable working with patients dealing with substance use disorders and complex social circumstances.
  • Possesses language skills, particularly in Spanish, Farsi/Dari, Portuguese, or various Asian languages (phone translation services are available at all clinical and hospital locations).
Location and Lifestyle

Our facilities are conveniently situated in the East San Francisco Bay, providing easy access to beautiful destinations such as Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Napa Valley, the Sierra Foothills, and coastal areas.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
