Are you an experienced TA with experience of sign language support?

\n

SANZA Teaching Agency is working with a fantastic primary school on the borders of Croydon and Sutton, and we're actively seeking a talented TA to support deaf children or children with hearing impairments.

About the role:

  • Sign Language Support position based at a primary school in Sutton
  • \n
  • Full time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4pm
  • \n
  • Ongoing positions starting in September and throughout the school year
  • \n
  • Supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils, communicating and interpreting
  • \n
  • Well-resourced classrooms with strong, collaborative staff teams
  • \n
  • Backed by supportive and experienced Senior Leadership Teams (SLT)
  • \n

What you'll need:

\n

  • Ideally qualified in some form of sign language (BSL or Makaton)
  • \n
  • Experience supporting deaf or hard-of-hearing pupils, ideally in a primary setting
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • \n
  • A positive, proactive and professional approach
  • \n
\n
