Shift Pattern: 4 Nights On, 4 Nights Off

Hours: 9:30pm to 8:00am

About the Role\n

We are seeking a Night Personal Assistant to provide overnight support within a supported accommodation service for young people and care leavers aged 18-25.

\n

Working alongside a Security Officer, you will support the welfare of customers throughout the night, ensure the service remains well managed and safe, and complete a range of operational and administrative duties to support the daytime team.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide support and guidance to customers during overnight hours.
  • \n
  • Respond calmly and effectively to customer welfare concerns or crisis situations.
  • \n
  • Conduct welfare checks and maintain accurate records.
  • \n
  • Complete administrative tasks and handovers for the day team.
  • \n
  • Report repairs and maintenance issues.
  • \n
  • Prepare vacant rooms for new customers.
  • \n
  • Liaise with contractors as required.
  • \n
  • Support customers with practical needs, signposting and benefit-related enquiries.
  • \n
  • Ensure all incidents, observations and actions are recorded accurately.
  • \n
  • Promote a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
  • \n
Essential Criteria\n
    \n
  • Experience working with young people, care leavers, vulnerable adults or within a support setting.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and administration skills.
  • \n
  • Calm and professional approach when dealing with challenging situations.
  • \n
  • Understanding of safeguarding and customer wellbeing.
  • \n
Desirable\n
    \n
  • Experience within supported accommodation, homelessness services or leaving care provision.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of trauma, mental health, substance misuse or housing-related support.
  • \n
