Project Duration: 12-Month Project with Potential for Future Assignments
Salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

\n

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Plumbing Superintendent with a strong background in equipment startup, commissioning, and commercial mechanical systems. This individual will oversee field operations from installation through equipment startup, commissioning, project turnover, and the one-year warranty period.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a traveling superintendent looking to join a stable contractor with the potential to transition to future projects upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Lead all mechanical and plumbing field operations from installation through project completion.
  • \n
  • Manage subcontractors, field personnel, and daily construction activities.
  • \n
  • Coordinate equipment startup, commissioning, testing, and operational verification.
  • \n
  • Ensure work complies with contract documents, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to meet installation and startup milestones.
  • \n
  • Coordinate purchasing, material deliveries, submittals, and project documentation.
  • \n
  • Monitor project budgets and proactively manage costs.
  • \n
  • Work closely with project managers, owners, engineers, and vendors throughout the project.
  • \n
  • Support equipment performance, warranty activities, and client satisfaction during the one-year warranty period.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical, Plumbing, or MEP Superintendent.
  • \n
  • Experience leading commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects.
  • \n
  • Proven equipment startup, commissioning, and turnover experience.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • \n
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and field teams.
  • \n
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to travel or relocate for the duration of the project.
  • \n
