Junior Finance Assistant (Apprentice)

Boutique law firm based in Chancery Lane is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant with a willingness to learn and develop new skills under the Firms apprenticeship scheme. In this role, you will focus on supporting all transactional finance duties for the London office and will play a key role in ensuring the firm is achieving its cash targets.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Finance Assistant:

\n
• Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate matter allocation and compliance with internal procedures
\n
• Maintain and update internal charge logs for taxi, meal and courier suppliers
\n
• Prepare weekly payment runs and ad hoc manual payments, ensuring deadlines and approval requirements are met
\n
• Support with invoice queries, backlog processing and day-to-day operational tasks
\n
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve vendor queries and help maintain positive supplier relationships
\n
• Support with general administartive duties
\n

Skills & Requirements of the Junior Finance Assistant:

\n
• Legal accounts juniors with up to 6 months experience
\n
• Strong GCSE / A-Level grades, particularly in Maths
\n
• Keen interest in studying the AAT Level 2 qualification
\n
• Capable of handling a broad accounts focused role
\n
• Confident Excel knowledge will be advantageous
