Our organization is on the lookout for a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to enhance our team. This role offers a unique chance to engage in truly collaborative healthcare. We welcome applications from both emerging and established clinicians or clinician scientists. All candidates will be encouraged to cultivate a specific area of subspecialty interest.

Position Overview
  • Contribute to the expansion of the department's well-established multidisciplinary care pathways by strengthening connections with primary and specialty care providers, both within and outside the department.
  • The primary focus will be on patient care, education, and research.
  • Responsibilities will include both didactic and clinical training for residents and fellows.
  • Our team includes a dedicated molecular biologist, vision scientist, and electrophysiologist, along with a research coordinator and two specialized ophthalmo-genetic counselors.
  • This role will be situated at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, with additional clinics at nearby satellite offices and surgical centers.
  • The department is well-equipped, featuring collagen cross-linking capabilities, a myopia treatment center, and state-of-the-art imaging technology, including integrated intraoperative OCT, eye movement recordings, and a comprehensive visual electrophysiology lab.
