Job Overview:

This role involves conducting various imaging examinations essential for diagnosing and treating medical conditions and injuries. Responsibilities include performing plain films, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, and operating room exams, as well as conducting Bone Density assessments (BD registry is mandatory).

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

PRIMARY DUTIES
• To qualify for a Multiple Modality position, a minimum of 30% of FTE must be worked in a secondary modality.
• Accurately position patients and select appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
• Adhere to radiation safety and protection protocols.
• Prepare for, execute, and assist physicians with specialized and advanced procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and within the accepted scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies.
• Submit high-quality images and documentation to PACS promptly, ensuring correct lead markers and patient information.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in all departmental areas, including procedure rooms and storage spaces.
• Operate in a state of constant alertness and safety.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION
• Completion of a program in Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.

EXPERIENCE
• No prior experience is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Regular use of vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
• Frequent auditory communication for sharing information.
• Ability to hear body sounds and alarms from equipment.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Frequent patient handling.
• Regular reaching, gripping, and data entry.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional color vision for distinguishing hues.
• Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of limbs.
• Rarely kneeling or sitting.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
