Gynecological Oncologist and Faculty Member

Our organization is seeking a dedicated professional to fulfill the role of Gynecological Oncologist and Faculty Member. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of medical services at the designated Women's Health & Wellness Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain scheduled office hours at the Women's Health & Wellness Center.
  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations, consultations, colposcopic assessments, and other relevant office-based evaluations and treatments for patients.
  • Advise on treatment options or referrals for additional services as necessary.
  • Provide post-operative care and routine follow-up examinations.
  • Prepare written reports for referring physicians regarding consultative services and follow-ups.
  • Document all necessary information in the medical records to ensure accurate billing.
  • Complete office billing with the correct level of service, procedures performed, and diagnoses.
  • Accept all patients for medical management, treatment, and surgical procedures, regardless of their insurance status or financial capability.
  • Offer emergency coverage to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Perform surgical procedures as indicated.
  • Manage both inpatient and outpatient adjuvant therapies as required.
  • Conduct inpatient coverage, rounding, consultations, and care for assigned patients as per the schedule.
  • Engage in Performance Improvement initiatives related to gynecologic oncology patients.
  • Supervise and educate Obstetrics and Gynecology residents and other medical students during their clinical rotations in gynecologic oncology.
  • Fulfill additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chair.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Gynecological Oncologist will oversee care for patients referred for treatment, as well as guide residents, medical students, and other educational groups within a clinical setting. Coordination of care will be conducted in collaboration with the patients' primary care physicians or referring specialists.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Current licensure and registration as a physician in New York State.
