The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Urogynecologist to join our team on Long Island, New York!
Our department is comprised of over 40 board-certified physicians, both full-time and voluntary, dedicated to serving a diverse community. As part of a major academic and research medical center affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine, we provide numerous professional advantages. With more than 2,400 deliveries annually, our department supports 16 residents in a comprehensive four-year residency program and actively engages in teaching third-year medical students. All sub-specialties within OB/GYN are represented in our department.
We are looking for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. The ideal candidate will deliver consistent, compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. The successful applicant will demonstrate clinical proficiency through their training, education, certification, and experience, alongside strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. A commitment to the teaching mission of our organization is essential. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid New York State Medical License.
The selected candidates will have the chance to collaborate with the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine. Our Department of OBGYN is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. The role involves working alongside various specialists to ensure optimal care for our patients.
Responsibilities- Instruct medical students and residents through lectures, rounds, and clinical activities in both the office and operating room.
- Provide Urogynecology care, including outpatient services and surgical procedures in the hospital.
- Handle general administrative tasks, including documenting and reviewing patient charts.
- Engage in teaching, research, service, and related administrative responsibilities, including academic advising.
- Play a significant role in training Urogynecology fellows and conducting research, with the department hosting 3 residents annually, totaling 12 approved for 16.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues as a vital part of a health system.

- Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Active New York Medical License and NYS DEA.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Successful completion of a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Exceptional communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to thrive in a team-oriented, performance-driven environment.
- Ability to collaborate respectfully and build relationships with colleagues.
- Adaptability in a dynamic environment, with a focus on challenging the status quo and enhancing care delivery.
Compensation ranges from $230,000 to $400,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).

Our organization provides a salary range in compliance with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may fall closer to either end of the range and, in some cases, may exceed the listed range. The stated salary range applies to full-time positions and does not include bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
