Emergency Medicine Opportunity for ED Observation - Harrisburg, PA

We are in search of a highly qualified and enthusiastic Physician to take on the role of Director for Observation Services. This position is vital for maintaining the highest levels of patient care and operational effectiveness within our observation units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and retain physicians for the ED Observation unit.
  • Oversee quality metrics and outcomes for the program.
  • Engage with referring physicians and address their concerns.
  • Assess and provide feedback to practicing ED Observation physicians regarding their clinical and administrative performance.
  • Ensure that patients under the care of ED Observation physicians meet established quality and patient satisfaction standards set by regulatory and payer organizations.
  • Act as a liaison between the ED Observation program and various clinical departments.
  • Guarantee timely communication with patients and provide opportunities for them to ask questions.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the health system to achieve goals related to the ED Observation program.
  • Partner with nursing and other clinical team members to develop and implement care protocols for optimal patient care.
