  • This role involves rounding and performing surgical procedures at Trinity Health Oakland, which features Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby services, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Qualifications
  • Completion of a medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Board certified or board eligible status required
  • Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
  • Experience in Women's Health is preferred
Key Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering comprehensive well-woman care, including preventive visits, screenings, and counseling throughout the lifespan
  • Addressing a wide range of gynecologic issues such as abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, menopausal symptoms, and vulvovaginal conditions
  • Providing patient-centered family planning counseling and education
  • Conducting in-office procedures like pap smears, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and other gynecologic interventions as per practice scope
  • Offering prenatal and obstetric care tailored to various pregnancy needs, including routine and higher acuity cases
  • Collaborating with APPs, nursing staff, and support personnel to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care and clinic operations
  • Providing clinical guidance and support to APP colleagues as needed
  • Reviewing and managing laboratory results, imaging, and patient communications with prompt follow-up
  • Educating patients on preventive care, pregnancy expectations, and treatment options to facilitate informed decision-making
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
  • Participating in team meetings and coordinating care across the practice
