Our organization in Biddeford, Maine, is on the lookout for a full-time, Board-Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to take on the role of Associate Medical Director (AMD). This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a practice dedicated to providing outstanding care while ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

The selected candidate will become part of a well-established team consisting of 7 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. This practice encompasses a full range of OB/GYN services, including office visits, gynecologic surgeries (with robotic options), and obstetric care. The position is enhanced by an academic partnership with a local medical center and a college of osteopathic medicine, allowing for teaching opportunities with both residents and medical students. Weekend call is shared, with a ratio of 1:7.

As a Level 1 Maternal Center, our facility in Biddeford delivers around 450 babies each year. By joining us, you will collaborate with supportive colleagues, foster strong patient-provider relationships deeply rooted in the community, and utilize comprehensive resources and advanced technologies, including a fully integrated Epic EMR system.

Our Biddeford campus enjoys a close working relationship with the Portland campus, which serves as the academic medical center for our health system. This connection provides access to a wide range of specialty and sub-specialty healthcare services across various disciplines, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with opportunities for research and further medical education. Sub-specialty referrals and consultations include urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and complex family planning services.

The ideal candidate will be board certified and possess at least 5 years of experience in comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology. We are looking for someone with exceptional clinical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership and operational capabilities, and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a large, dynamic healthcare environment. A keen interest in teaching is crucial, as the Associate Medical Director will play a key role in overseeing graduate and undergraduate medical education in obstetrics and gynecology at our Biddeford location.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
