Estimator

Summary: We are seeking an ambitious and hardworking Estimator to join a growing and well-established construction business based in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a close-knit team where their contribution will be valued and where they can play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region. We are open to candidates from either a residential or commercial construction background. More importantly, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop within the business. Key Responsibilities * Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions * Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation * Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations * Assessing project risks and opportunities * Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams * Supporting the pre-construction process from enquiry through to tender submission * Assisting with value engineering and cost-saving initiatives Requirements * Previous experience in an Estimator within construction * Experience within residential or commercial construction projects * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications * Good communication and organisational skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (desirable) * Positive, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude What's on Offer * Competitive salary based on experience * Company car or car allowance * Opportunity to join a supportive and growing business * Long-term career progression * Varied and interesting project portfolio * Friendly and collaborative working environment If you're an Estimator looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you
