Orthopaedic Surgery position at UPMC in Altoona, PA

Our organization is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on Total Joints to join a well-established practice that boasts a robust patient volume. This practice receives referrals from over 70 primary care physicians, as well as from the emergency and trauma departments of the hospital.

Position Overview:

• Become part of a comprehensive practice that includes 5 orthopedic surgeons, 7 Physician Assistants, and a physician specializing in non-surgical sports medicine.
• Participate in trauma call at a ratio of 1:6.
• Engage in practice call at a ratio of 1:5.
• Utilize in-office imaging along with a PACS/EMR system.
• Work in a newly built medical office complex spanning 90,000 square feet.
• The hospital features 12 operating rooms, while the Ambulatory Surgery Center has 6 operating rooms.
