Job Title: Financial Accounting Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £70,000-£75,000 + benefits

We are partnering with a well established business to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager.

This is a key role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial accounting, reporting and controls while leading a small team. There is a clear progression route, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to step up in the near term.

The role will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys being hands on, improving processes and working closely with both finance and non finance stakeholders.

• Lead and support a small financial accounting team
\n
• Own the general ledger and month end close process
\n
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
\n
• Support statutory accounts and manage the audit process
\n
• Act as a key contact for auditors and external stakeholders
\n
• Manage cash, treasury and intercompany activities
\n
• Drive improvements across processes, controls and systems
\n
• Support wider finance initiatives and team development
\n

• Qualified accountant ACA ACCA or equivalent
\n
• Strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting
\n
• Experience in practice and or industry
\n
• Comfortable working in a hands on, detail focused role
\n
• Exposure to audit statutory reporting or group structures is beneficial
\n
• Team player with a proactive can do approach
\n
