Operating Room Technician - Pinson, Alabama

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals skilled as Non-Certified or Certified Surgical Technologists or those with Nursing - ORT experience. The role involves supporting complex surgical procedures and working in a fast-paced environment that values collaboration and expertise.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10)
• Hours: 6:15 AM – 4:45 PM
• Rotating days off, determined by departmental needs

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent experience in surgical technology or operating room technician roles
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Ortho-specific surgical experience preferred
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a demanding surgical environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support collaborative practice
• Willingness to adapt to rotating schedules according to the department’s priorities

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room during orthopedic sports surgeries
• Prepare, maintain, and ensure the sterility of instruments and surgical areas
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team for efficient and safe patient procedures
• Document procedures and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards
• Maintain flexibility to cover varying shifts and support multiple departments as required
