School Physical Therapist | Meriden, Connecticut

Make a real impact supporting students in a dynamic school-based physical therapy role near Meriden, CT! This contract opportunity offers the chance to serve students ages 6–21 across two school sites, working collaboratively within a strong, behaviorally based program grounded in ABA principles.

Your caseload will be varied and engaging, including students with autism spectrum disorders, seizure and metabolic disorders, genetic syndromes such as Fragile X, dual diagnoses, and those preparing for vocational transitions at age 22. Whether you’re seeking full- or part-time hours, flexible scheduling is available within a Monday–Friday, full school day structure (up to 40 hours weekly). The contract runs from ASAP–June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized physical therapy plans tailored to IEP goals and student needs
• Provide direct therapy services and consultative support in diverse school settings
• Collaborate daily with educators, OTs, SLPs, and vocational staff to ensure continuity of care
• Promote functional mobility, safety, and independence in academic and pre-vocational environments
• Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided and student progress according to regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Active or eligible Connecticut Physical Therapy license
• Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
