Math Special Education Teacher in Chandler, AZ

This full-time opportunity is ideal for a passionate educator who enjoys fostering success in an inclusive classroom setting. As a dedicated co-teacher in a math classroom, you will collaborate with general education and special education staff to deliver effective instruction within a supportive high school environment. This contract spans August 3 to May 21, 2027, making a meaningful impact in the lives of students throughout the academic year.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Special Education teaching certification (SPED Licensure) for the state of Arizona
• Current IVP Fingerprint Card
• Experience co-teaching or leading math instruction in a special education setting
• Ability to work collaboratively with general education and special education teams
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiating instruction to support diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-teach math classes alongside a general education teacher, adapting lessons to accommodate individual learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the student support team
• Provide modifications and accommodations to ensure equitable access to curriculum
• Track and report student progress, communicating regularly with families and key school staff
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture that values every learner
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
