This contract opportunity offers a structured schedule, focusing on assisting K-12 learners with diverse needs in an engaging academic environment located near Arlington, TX. Utilize your expertise to facilitate skills development, increase participation in school activities, and promote independence in the classroom setting.

Opportunity Details:

  • Contract position from August 12, 2026 through May 27, 2027
  • Consistent weekly hours: 37.5
  • Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Caseload: Kindergarten through 12th grade; specifics to be discussed during the interview
  • Interview process is streamlined and flexible—interviews will be prioritized for qualified candidates

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license, with appropriate certification for school settings
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in providing OT services within a K-12 school environment
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and collaborative goal-setting with educators and family
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with students, educators, administrative staff, and parents
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to the individual needs of a varied student population

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in alignment with established IEP goals
  • Evaluate students’ needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Document interventions and maintain accurate records per school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
