Take on a dynamic role supporting specialized classrooms across Lehigh and Carbon counties as an Itinerant Special Education Teacher during the 2026–2027 school year. The assignment follows the local school calendar, with a commitment of 35 hours per week and the opportunity to work with diverse student populations.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification (required or preferred based on specific program)
• Strong track record teaching in special education classrooms
• Proven skills in implementing IEPs and delivering differentiated instruction
• Deep understanding of behavioral intervention, crisis response, and positive classroom management
• Ability to collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Adaptability to work in varying classroom settings and with students with a range of academic, emotional, and developmental needs
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with autism programming, sensory and communication supports, trauma-informed practices, ABA, and life skills instruction is highly valued

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality specialized instruction to students across multiple programs and schools
• Step in to cover leaves, vacancies, or extended assignments in a substitute teacher capacity
• Implement and track progress on IEP goals and plans

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best outcomes for all students
• Rapidly adapt to new settings and caseloads per district needs

Candidates must live within approximately a 35-minute commute of assigned locations. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027, with schedules aligned to standard school-day hours.
