Physical Therapist - School Setting in Lehigh Acres, FL

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital Physical Therapy services to students across Pre-K through 12th grade. This role is based near Lehigh Acres, FL, and involves working on-site between multiple school campuses during the academic year, from August 11, 2026, to May 27, 2027. The position is full-time, with up to 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to immerse yourself in diverse school settings and make a significant impact.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Active Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
• Experience or genuine interest in serving school-aged populations, from Pre-K to high school
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites as assigned (itinerant schedule)
• Must complete fingerprinting for credentialing; knowledge of AHCA Clearinghouse procedures is a plus
• JLA badge transfer or application may be required depending on previous school district employment within Florida

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students of various ages and abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and other school professionals
• Document therapy sessions, monitor progress, and report outcomes to support student success
• Adapt interventions for diverse educational settings and varying caseloads
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to ensure coordinated care
