School Registered Nurse (RN) in Jersey City, NJ

This full-time, contract opportunity spans from September 4th to June 25th, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:15AM to 3:15PM. Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Nursing NJ licensure required
• School-based RN experience essential
• Confidence in acclimating to new districts and building trust with staff and families
• Able to oversee entire school buildings and efficiently respond to needs across campus
• Comfortable servicing a varied caseload of elementary and middle school students
• Willing to complete onboarding requirements: TB screening, physical examination, fingerprinting for both agency and district
• Reliable transportation and proximity to assigned site
• LPN credentials are not accepted for this assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer daily and emergency care, medication, and treatments in accordance with best practices
• Monitor student health and identify potential concerns, collaborating with staff and parents as needed
• Serve as a healthcare resource and support system for both students and faculty
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student visits, treatments, and incidents
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment by participating in health education and prevention initiatives
• Oversee the health needs and safety protocols throughout entire school buildings
